  • Principles of nutrition for pregnant women. Metabolic changes during pregnancy and how they shape new nutritional needs. Caloric intake for normal and excess body weight.
  • Macronutrient needs at different stages of pregnancy. Sources and how to choose them correctly.
  • Needs for vitamins, minerals, and other micronutrients. Recommended intake, sources, and which micronutrients may require additional supplementation.
  • Common conditions that may complicate pregnancy. Nutritional considerations and adjustments.
  • Nutrition during breastfeeding.
  • Excess weight after childbirth.
  • Final session. Guest lecture by an invited psychologist.
